Dear Member:

The Capstone Event for this year's ISPE-DVC Monthly Educational Series will be a two-week Bioreactor Facility Design Event.  Our attendees will work in multi-disciplinary design teams to apply the knowledge they gained in previous Education sessions in a mock bioreactor facility design scenario.

On May 18, we will set the teams, explain the project scope, handout PFDs, equipment lists, and building layouts, discuss the deliverables, and start the teams working on their designs.  Mentors from each engineering discipline will assist our teams, so don't worry, you won't be alone in this!  The teams will then be set loose to work on their designs to present them at the May 25 session.

On May 25, prior to presentations and judging, Mike Greenholtz will talk to the teams about Maintenance Excellence.  This will give the teams something to think about as they present their designs.  The judges will then select teams that excelled in different criteria (energy savings, creativity, presentation, etc.)

We are offering both sessions at $30 for members and $50 for non-members.  Students can attend for free, and we would love for students to participate in this real world multi-discipline design project.  Both sessions will take place at GSK's Upper Merion site in King of Prussia, PA.  They will each run from 5:30-9:00pm and dinner will be provided.

Come out and show off your design chops!
